BEEHIVE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE FOR PROSPECTIVE NEW STUDENTS

SATURDAY, AUG. 18 FROM 10 A.M. TO NOON

Sandy—Beehive Science & Technology Academy will hold an open house for prospective new students and parents Saturday, Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.  The school is located at 830 E. 9400 S. in Sandy.

Beehive is a tuition-free, public charter school for grades six through 12.

According to Beehive Principal Hanifi Oguz, “If you want to give your student an advantage in the competitive world of STEM (an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), you need to strongly consider Beehive Science & Technology Academy.  Our school has garnered local and national recognition as one of the area’s leading STEM schools.  In addition to being included in Newsweek’s America’s Top High Schools list in 2015, Beehive was given Platinum STEM School Designation (the highest designation possible) by the Utah State Board of Education and the STEM Action for 2015/2016.  Our school was also recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2017-2019, the first and only Utah school to receive this honor as of July 2018.  In September 2017, Beehive was also given an “A” grade from the Utah Board of Education—one of only eight high schools in the state to receive this grade.”

Staff will be on hand to meet prospective students and parents.  There is no need to RSVP for the open house.
