BEEHIVE STUDENTS COMPLETE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT ZIONS BANCORPORATION
Salt Lake City—Seven students from Beehive Science & Technology Academy recently completed a seven-week summer internship with Zions Bancorporation. The internship was arranged by Sudha Kargi, vice president, Supply Chain Management, of Zions. (Kargi also serves as a board member/treasurer at Beehive.)
The seven interns from Beehive were Abdullah Kareem, Isabella Todd, Moises Molina, Nithya Lakireddy, Sahil Prasai, Sahana Kargi and Sanjana Kargi. During the seven-week period, the interns worked on data research and on Zions’ IT service desk.
In a final presentation about their internship experiences, one group of Beehive students wrote, “Being able to work a corporate job while still in high school is a rare opportunity, and we are all very glade that we were able to take advantage. We learned that a bank has a variety of different job and is a complicated corporation. This experience has changed the way we view banks.”
