BEEHIVE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY RECEIVES AN ‘A’ GRADE FROM THE UTAH BOARD OF EDUCATION

Sandy, Utah—Beehive Science & Technology Academy was one of only eight high schools in Utah to receive an A grade from the Utah Board of Education for 2017.  The Utah Board of Education released its list of new grades in late September 2017.

According to a Sept. 25 article in the Salt Lake Tribune, scores for the state were “generally down compared to 2016.”  The article also noted that grades are “based on student scores on the SAGE computer adaptive test, graduation rates, ACT performance and an elementary literacy test.”

In March 2017, the Utah State Charter School Board recognized Beehive Science and Technology for having achieved a 100 percent graduation rate for 2015/2016.

     The Tribune reported that 42 schools received a B, 52 received a C and 16 received a D.  A total of 26 high schools were given an F grade.
