Middle School FLL Robotics

If your middle school student is interested in FLL Robotics (lego) for an elective and club, this is important information for you:

Students interested in this club/elective should sign up for their preferred elective that is not FLL Robotics AND their parent/ guardian should attend the FLL Robotics parent meetings. If they make the team, FLL will be their elective, replacing their previous elective choice. It also becomes their after school club.  You may only sign up for FLL Robotics at the parent’s meeting:

Room 118 of building A:

SaturdayAugust 19, 3:00 pm

If you can’t make time, please contact Ed Eliason ASAP to make other arrangements at: ed.eliason@beehiveacademy.org

All students who have not had a parent/ guardian attend the class or made arrangements will not be eligible to try out for FLL Robotics.

FIRST Lego League (FLL Robotics) is a club/elective that only 6th through 8th grade students can try out for. There will be ONE team of eight students TWO alternates who will be chosen based on being able to work as a team, parental support, enthusiasm, and their willingness to put in many hours for the team. This is a full school year commitment, although not all of the year will have extra meetings.

The season cost is $125/student for the school year. If the team wins State there will be additional costs. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to stay on the team.
