Principal Receives Honor From The National Society of High School Scholars

Beehive Science and Technology Academy Principal Hanifi Oguz has been selected as a 2016 Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction for “excellence in teaching and for the encouragement of the dedication to the academic success of students” by the National Society of High School Scholars.  (Claes Nobel is the founder of the National Society of High School Scholars.  He is also the grandnephew of Albert Nobel, founder of the Nobel prizes.)

 

     According to the organization’s website, “Founded in 2002, the National Society of High School Scholars has inducted over 1 million members from over 160 countries, with more than 100,000 new scholars joining annually. NSHSS recognizes academic excellence among high-achieving scholars, offering a wide array of resources supporting transitions from high school to college, and college to career.”

            Oguz has been the principal of Beehive Science and Technology Academy since 2011.  In 2012, he was given a Certificate of Congressional Recognition as an Accord Institute Administrator of the Year.
